March 19, 2013— IDG’s Computerworld Honors Program today announces the United States Pacific Command and the All Partners Access Network (APAN) as a 2013 Laureate. The annual award program honors visionary applications of information technology promoting positive social, economic and educational change.

A panel of 22 distinguished judges, many of them from Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader Honorees from diverse industries, were relied on to evaluate the humanitarian benefits and measurable results of applying technology to meet a specific social or business need. APAN's case study on unclassified information sharing and collaboration during multinational exercises / events and support to humanitarian crisis around the globe was selected from more than 700 nominations as a Computerworld Honors Laureate.
