On March 16, 2011, the All Partners Access Network (APAN) received the Excellence.Gov Award for Excellence in Intergovernmental Collaboration. The Excellence.Gov Award honors programs that have pushed the boundaries of innovation, quality, and overall effectiveness in the federal government’s management and use of IT to improve services to citizens, enhance government operations and provide a more open and transparent government. A panel of 35 judges, made up of government and industry executives, considered nearly 100 programs before narrowing the field down to the seven winners recognized at this year’s awards presentation.
The Excellence.Gov Awards were created in 2002 by the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to creating partnerships between government and industry.
