Make a Forum Post Sticky

[toc]

The sticky feature allows you to make a thread display at the top of forum thread list for the specified period of time.

  • If another thread is created on the post during this time, it will displayed after this post.
  • If this second (other) thread is also made sticky, the thread that was made sticky first will be displayed first.
  • Making one post sticky for a longer period than another post does not give a post priority. For example, making one post sticky for three days does not bump it above a post that is only marked for stickiness one day. Only when the prior sticky thread expires will the next post appear at the top of the forum.
  • If you edit a sticky post, this moves it down in the post list.

In order to make your post sticky, you need to have the Mark thread as sticky permission.

Make a post sticky

  1. Create or edit a forum post.
  2. In the Prioritize at the top of lists drop-down list, select how long to keep the post sticky.
  3. Click Post.
