Under the auspices of the 2015 United States-Australia Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) on Science and Technology, it is my pleasure to invite you to the Enabling Technologies Technical Exchange Meeting on 11-14 May 2015 in the Basic Research Innovation and Collaboration Center (3rd Floor, 4075 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, Virginia 22203).
The purpose of the technical exchange is to explore and potentially build basic research collaborations between the US and Australia under the Enabling Technologies working group of the JCM. The meeting will comprise of three overarching technical thrusts: Materials Science, Physics and Biomedical Sciences. Subtopics include materials for extreme environments, low-density materials, materials chemistry, nanoelectronics, sensors, lasers, photonics, biophysics, human performance, biological effects of nanosystems, power and energy; and structural mechanics and prognosis.
Participation will include US and Australian representatives from government organizations and academia.
