Common Functions and Processes for Personnel and Physical Security

Responsibilities

1. G-2. Responsible for all intelligence matters within the RD staff and oversees the production of tailored intelligence products in support of RD requirements and all RD counter-intelligence and human intelligence (CI/HUMINT) matters.
2. DES. Provides advice and technical consultation for the Commanding General and RD staff on four security functions which are physical, personnel, industrial and information security.

Functions

1. G-2. The Intelligence staff maintains situational awareness of Intelligence programs and CI/HUMINT policies, and guidance at the RD and USAR levels and evaluates their impact to the RD.
2. DES. Provides the planning, organizing, and evaluating of force protection and physical security oversight, training, and inspection to facilities, units and supported commands.
