Responsibilities
Special Staff advisor to the commander responsible for supporting the Army History Program by providing subject matter expertise for preserving and processing the material, oral, operational, and cultural history of Army Reserve units within the geographic area of responsibility.
Functions
a. Provide guidance and recommendations to the command leadership of Army Reserve major subordinate commands and subordinate units on Department of the Army and United States Army Reserve history regulations, policies, procedures, and professional development.
b. Accurately collect, preserve, interpret, and communicate the Readiness Division history and material culture to USARC. Preserve the history of Readiness Divisions by writing and publishing its official history; archiving historical documents and supporting Professional Leadership Development events and efforts.
