The Chinese Combined-arms brigades’ mix together armor and infantry with organic artillery and anti-aircraft units. They are similar in capability and organization to the U.S. Army’s brigade combat team (BCT) but larger in size with 1-2 more maneuver BN’s.
On the slide is their doctrinal structure. However, it is important to note that the combined arms BDE will Task Organize for the mission they are given, meaning they could have more capabilities than depicted. They will receive support that comes directly from their higher Group Army HQ including EW, Cyber, counter-space, and Fires capabilities. The PLAA has no Division organizational structures.
