Abstract:
On 15 December, Johan Norberg and other members from the Russia and Eurasia Studies Programme at the Swedish Defense Research Agency (FOI) will join RSI for a discussion on “Assessing the Future of the Russian Military.” FOI is renowned for their periodic 10-Year Perspective publications on Russian military capability. Since their last edition in 2019, Russia’s war in Ukraine has provided the opportunity to evaluate previous assessments of Russian military capability in order to improve understanding of future Russian capabilities. This event will compare previous assessments to real world demonstrations in Ukraine and explore how to effectively study and understand the capabilities of the Russian military.
