Propose for the Environmental and Energy Security Working Group, formed n August 2012, to assume a regional leadership role to establish concrete goals to help partner nations confront the threats posed by climate change.
I read the proposal for the establishment of the Task Force as well as the reference review that CDR Rondon drafted (which is also posted in APAN), and believe this is a great start for a collaboration effort. Agree also with the comments provided by Lt Cdr Jasper to expand the reference review. I'd like to suggest to keep the proposal to establish the Task Force general enough so we could branch different effort areas out of it, as we see applicable in the different countries. Therefore, would recommend using the term emerging environmental and energy challenges, instead of specifically naming climate change as the focus of the effort. We can further discuss on Wednesday.
