Imagine you're swimming 700 feet below the surface of the water. It's cold and dark, with another 4,300 feet of black abyss under you. Something brushes past your feet. That is, in my opinion, when sharks become truly terrifying.

I live in California, so I always go to the beach to surf and stuff. But I can never get the thought of getting attacked out of my head. I have anxiety, and sometimes I get really worked up about it. The thought is scary. You're having fun, and at the least expected moment, a shark can suddenly grab your foot, pull you under the water, and wreck your life. Sharks just give me the creeps in San Jose, CA.
