UPDATE: As of 010600SEP17 Tropical Depression Harvey’s rain has ended, however flood waters will continue to hamper supply, evacuation and recovery efforts.

As of 310600AUG17, lTropical Depression Harvey moves into the Mississippi Valley on Thursday. A large area, from central Kentucky to eastern Arkansas and northwest Mississippi are expected to see rainfall totals in excess of 4 inches. The heaviest rainfall will likely occur in western Tennessee where isolated locations may exceed 10 inches. Numerous Flash Flood Watches and Warnings are in effect

As of 30600AUG17, now that Harvey's center is moving inland, the maximum winds should gradually decrease during the next few days. Harvey is likely to weaken to a tropical depression by tonight, and then it could become a remnant low by day 3. This weakening will not eliminate the risk of continued heavy rainfall and flooding along Harvey's path, although the system's faster motion will prevent rainfall totals from being anywhere near what occurred over southeastern Texas.
