Hello Everyone, This is Chaplain Sung Kim. I am Deputy CMD CH in the 63d Readiness Division. I pray you are well.
We all need “an attitude adjustment” from time to time because it is impossible to be positive always. It’s crucial to maintain the right attitude when the going gets rough.
Winston Churchill says, “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”
The pessimists are busy in finding difficulty in every opportunity. On the other hand, the optimist are always trying to find out the opportunities in every difficulty.
Proverbs 17:22 says, “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”
There is no doubt about the fact that laughter or joyfulness is good for the A joyful heart is a healthier heart and that person typically has a longer lifespan, a reduced risk of cancer and disease, less stress, and is a person that people love to be around.
Some of the greatest writers and composers in history created masterpieces during the worst times of their lives when they have right attitude. Beethoven’s most famous symphonies were written when he was almost totally deaf and experiencing great sorrow.
It's impossible to build success on a negative foundation. A positive outlook is a choice that you can always make. I am constantly striving to see the positive in every aspect of my life. But it’s not always easy.
I know that choosing to be positive has helped me the most in terms of becoming the person I want to be. Even when things are difficult, I know that being positive—and striving to make the best of whatever situation I’m in—really does make even the most challenging situations easier to bear.
Here is my suggestions to keep positive attitude in practical ways;
1, Start your day with a positive statement. Talk to yourself in the mirror, “Today will be a good day” or “I’m going to be awesome today.”
2. Focus on the good things, however small. For example, if you get stuck in traffic, think about how you now have time to listen to the rest of your favorite podcast.
3. Transform negative self-talk into positive self talk. For examples: I can do it. I'm good enough. 'If I want to, I can. 'It doesn't matter if I make a mistake.
4. Find positive friends, mentors and co-workers. When you surround yourself with positive people, you’ll hear positive outlooks, positive stories and positive affirmations.
Today’s Prayer: Lord, how I long to break free from negative thinking and embrace peace and joy and optimism. I invite You to begin transforming my thought patterns and help me recognize, reject and replace thoughts that are not pleasing to You.
Have a blessed day! Blood and Fire!
