Hello Everyone, This is Chaplain Sung Kim. I am Deputy CMD CH in the 63d Readiness Division. I pray you are well.

Valerie Bertinelli says that happiness is a choice. You can choose to be happy. There’s going to be stress in life, but it’s your choice whether you let it affect you or not.

How to Choose Happiness Today. Joshua Becker suggested these Practical Ways.

  1. Count your blessings. Happy people choose to focus on the positive aspects of life rather than the negative. They set their minds on specific reasons to be grateful. They express it when possible.
  2. Carry a smile. A smile is a wonderful beautifier. You can actually program yourself to experience happiness by choosing to smile.
  3. Speak daily affirmation into your life. Affirmations are positive thoughts accompanied with affirmative beliefs and personal statements of truth. Here are examples: “I love and approve of myself”, “I make the right choices every time”, “I am beautifle and smart and that’s how everyone sees me.”
  4. Hold back a complaint. Humbly keep it to yourself. You’ll likely diffuse an unhealthy, unhappy environment. But more than that, you’ll experience joy by choosing peace in a difficult situation.
  5. Practice one life-improving discipline. Embrace and practice at least one act of self-discipline each day. This could be exercise, budgeting, or guided-learning… whatever your life needs today to continue growing. Find it. Practice it. Celebrate it.
  6. Accomplish one important task. Choose one important task that you can accomplish each day. And find joy in your contribution.
  7. Eat a healthy meal/snack. Physical body will thank you… and so will
  8. Meditate. Take time to make time. And use meditation to search inward, connect spiritually, and improve your happiness today.

Abraham Lincoln says that Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.

Is happiness a choice? Yes! Many happy people realize happiness is a choice and it's up to them to intentionally choose it every single day. Happy people are not held hostage by their circumstances and they do not seek happiness in people or possessions.

Psalm 37:4 says, “Seek your happiness in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desire.”

Today’s prayer: “Dear Lord, I pray that you bless me with true happiness and peace in life. Allow eternal peace and tranquility to fill my heart, my mind, my life, and my world. Amen.”

Have a blessed day! Blood and Fire!
