Hello Everyone, This is Chaplain Sung Kim. I am Deputy CMD CH in the 63d Readiness Division. I pray you are well.
Catherine Pulsifer says, “A time to say goodbye and a time to say hello. A time to bid farewell and a time to look forward. A time to let go and a time to learn new things, that is what happens when the New Year rings in.”
Psychologist Dr. Renita Gabriel says it’s an important time to remember “self-care” and making time to nurture yourself.
Find out what it is that you can give to yourself to really kind of help care for yourself in a time when things are not always pretty. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” The Lord knows our bodies need proper care to live out our purpose and perform the good works God has waiting for us to do.
If you’re planning to make some resolutions come New Year’s Day, Here is a handy acronym to keep in mind — STEPS. Here’s what it stands for:
I would like to say that “Our problems are temporary. Our positive attitudes are the most important thing.” This is my new attitude for this New Year of 2021. If we have a positive attitude, we can be happy in any situation. Attitude is more important than anything. The remarkable thing is that we have a choice every day regarding our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. It is not much important what happens to us, but how we respond to what happens to us that is more important
What I want to have a positive attitude in 2021 is Be of good cheer. You can’t be of good cheer if you are constantly thinking about how bad and terrible the world is.
We are full of anticipation and excitement about what 2021 will be. For us, sorrow is always a temporary emotion, and joy is the norm. In fact, a positive attitude and cheerful spirit are better than any medication you can take.
Prayer: We thank you that you make all things new. Thank you for all that you've allowed into our lives this past year, the good along with the hard things, which have reminded us how much we rely on your presence filling us every single day. We pray for your Spirit to lead us each step of this New Year of 2021.
Have a blessed day! Blood and Fire!
