On behalf of the 63d RD,You live in the moment and life happens in the in-between.
Breathing is not the same as being alive. A great number of people breathe but never live.- Author Unknown

Daniel 10:17-19
“…How can someone like me, your servant, speak with someone like you, my lord? Now I have no strength, and there is no breath in me.” Then the one with a human appearance touched me again and strengthened me. He said, “Don’t be afraid, you who are treasured by God. Peace to you; be very strong!” As he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”
What I have noticed the most about this Covid-19 duration is that it is hard to get together with those around you that have been supportive, or a strengthening arm when we need a pick-me-up. I could guess that even your time that you used to dedicate towards going to church, doing yoga, or when you set side time for your personal spirituality hour it too has slipped to practically none at all. You may even think that you have no breath left in you that gives you strength.
Be encouraged today by stepping outside of your now Covid-19 routine and spend some time with yourself. Spend some time being quiet allowing that stillness around you to speak. When you don’t hear anything around you but silence, is there still a voice that can be heard? Yes! We need to take time to be silent in order to hear what our hearts, minds, and bodies want to speak, and sometimes shout to us or through us on how we need to be strengthened. It is not the same for everyone on how we find strength, but we all need to step aside and recognize that we do need to be strengthened by forces outside of ourselves, or by a hidden strength within the core of our being. The in-between that happens for us that makes the biggest life changing difference is when we listen to what is going on in the pause between the intake of the breath and the exhale. That pause is where you need to dwell a while, take note, and then listen. You might be surprised by what you hear, and some of you may even be strengthened to fight or skip joyfully into another day.
My prayer for today: I pray to the God that strengthens my own heart, mind and body, especially when I don’t have the strength to do it myself. Just as You strengthened Daniel so long ago, strengthen us today for every situation or challenge that comes our way. Give us the courage to not fear hearing what we need to hear in order to be strengthened, amen.
