Duties

  • You will serve as a Regional Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Generalist.
  • You will ensure that the Complaints and Reasonable Accommodation Programs are conducted in accordance with the requirements of law and regulations.
  • You will participate in the development and execution of policies, programs, procedures, and actions to create a model EEO Program within the NAVSEA Workforce.
  • You will facilitate and conduct training to servicing population.
  • You will participate on IG Inspection Team and spearhead Technical Assistance Visits (TAVs) with Regional Area of Responsibility (AOR) leadership.
  • You will work to monitor caseload progress to ensure MD-715 goals and objectives are met throughout the year.
  • You will provide guidance and feedback, evaluate submissions, and analyze data for field activities.
  • You will assist in the dissemination of EEO policies, procedures, interpretations, guidelines and reporting requirements to implement and comply with governing laws and regulations within your regional area of responsibility.
  • This position is located in the Department of the Navy, Navy Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), within the Total Force and Corporate Operations (SEA 10) Division.
  • You will provide expert guidance and assistance on a variety of EEO matters and reports, ensuring the use of accurate and comprehensive information.
  • You will conduct interviews with aggrieved individuals, advising them on their EEO rights, responsibilities, and conflict resolution options.
  • You will communicate allegations of discrimination to managers, supervisors, and employees, presenting alternative solutions for resolving complaints.
  • You will perform pre-complaint counseling and produce detailed counseling reports within regulated timelines.
  • You will collect, analyze, and maintain accurate records of complaint data related to allegations of discrimination.
  • You will monitor and facilitate the efficient processing of reasonable accommodation and accessibility requests, in line with established federal disability laws, regulations, and policies.
  • You will be required to attend the NAVSEA IG Academy and successfully pass the course exam
