Firefighter (BLS/ Hazmat Operations)

You will serve as a FIREFIGHTER (BLS/HAZMAT OPERATIONS) in the Fire and Emergency Services of NAVBASE KITSAP SILVERDALE WA.

Duties

• You will administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillation (AED) for a patient.
• You will operate firefighting equipment (e.g., pumps, foam generators, boom, ground sweep nozzles) to control or eliminate fires.
• You will establish on-scene control procedures (e.g., zone control, decontamination) in a hazardous material incident.
• You will position firefighting vehicles in consideration of external factors (e.g., wind direction, sources of water, hazards from falling structures, location of armament on aircraft).
