Summary

You will serve as a RECORDS & INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Nuclear Inspection Division (Code 139 - Administrative Branch) at PSNS and IMF.

Duties

  • You will serve as the primary, principal Records Information Manager (RIM) for the department.
  • You will be responsible, as RIM, to ensure Naval Nuclear Propulsion Records are meeting record management laws, regulations, rules, policies for the entire life cycle of the preserved record and disposition requirements.
  • You will provide advice and guidance to records liaisons and records custodians on RIM lifecycle requirements.
  • You will be responsible for planning, organizing, training and formulating policies for the use and maintenance of records.
  • You will determine disposition cycles to achieve adequate and proper documentation of the policies and transactions of the organization for effective and economical management of agency operations.
  • You will coordinate the proper disposition of records consistent with government wide policies and procedures.
