Greetings from Singapore. Just joined this group.
I support US Pacific Fleet for Maritime Domain Awareness and capacity building with partner countries in the region.
We are using APAN for our Exercise SEACAT and planning to your the GIS tools for the working groups that will be established after the exercise to keep in touch with maritime security practioners and operationailze MDA Info Sharing with partners across the region.

Not a GIS expert, but looking to learn more details about open source GIS tools that can easily be implemented into existing work, and also to quickly train our partners, so they can then explore more detailed training opportunities later.
I regularly use AIS Data, Sat-SAR, and VIIRS, and have recently started using EU Sentinel-2 Stellite imagery on regular basis, but looking for more meaningful way to tap into GIS tools to help our partners improve situational awareness and to share maritime data effectively in a collaborative way.
