Magic Draw / Cameo Bugs

Use this thread to compile Magic Draw / Cameo bugs, along with system/version information, work arounds, and fixes.

1. Character Spacing on Comments/Notes when Zoom is not at 100% is off.  (Windows 7, Cameo Systems Modeler, SP1)

2. Comment Anchors to Frames pass through the comment obscuring visibility. (Windows 7, Cameo Systems Modeler, SP1)

3. Ctrl/Shift consistency between selecting Elements in diagram and containment tree. (Windows 7, Cameo Systems Modeler, SP1)

If anyone has encountered the same bugs, please list the number and your version/configuration.

I intend to contact No Magic at some point in the future.

  • I too have experienced those bugs. There's also a couple other bugs in SP1 that got fixed in SP2 which are worth mentioning:

    - Validating a model element (single, recursive, all) shows blank TODO tags as being misspelled. Since this tag is blank by default so ALL elements will show as an error. This led to over 4900 incorrect errors in the MQ-25 model (Windows 7, CSM/CEA v18.5sp1)

    - Issues with placing entry or exit points on states in a state machine diagram. Stated fixed in SP2 release notes but have not tested. (Windows 7, CSM/CEA v18.5sp1)

Again, these where fixed in SP2 which is one of the reasons we moved to that service pack. I have not had time to see what SP3 fixes and if those fixes are worth upgrading since v19.0 is coming out soon.
