Magic Draw / Cameo Bugs

Use this thread to compile Magic Draw / Cameo bugs, along with system/version information, work arounds, and fixes.

1. Character Spacing on Comments/Notes when Zoom is not at 100% is off. (Windows 7, Cameo Systems Modeler, SP1)

2. Comment Anchors to Frames pass through the comment obscuring visibility. (Windows 7, Cameo Systems Modeler, SP1)

3. Ctrl/Shift consistency between selecting Elements in diagram and containment tree. (Windows 7, Cameo Systems Modeler, SP1)

If anyone has encountered the same bugs, please list the number and your version/configuration.

I intend to contact No Magic at some point in the future.

In addition to the ones you guys bring to the table, I too found a bug that is explained, along with a workaround, in the nomagic forum (see below link). The issue with our current service pack is that when creating a simulation model using UPDM stereotypes, binding connectors don't automatically update to allow data to transfer during execution. I have applied the workaround successfully, but it's it a pain to do (have to set properties for each connector end). See the post for more details. Supposedly, nomagic will fix this in a future release (hopefully v19.0).

Justin, just looked at the v18.5sp3 release notes and I think they might have fixed the issue:

Awesome David. Please let us know when we can get sp3 ASAP! I'm putting together a detailed model, and this fix will be a godsend.

Justin, there doesn't seem to be any compatibility issues with models moved back and forth between sp1 and sp2 so I'm assuming sp3 is the same. I'm not sure we as whole are going to move to sp3 yet but I can make CSM v18.5sp3 bundle just for you in a couple hours. Even if only you use it for now it shouldn't cause problems with people on sp2. The only cost is you will be our guinea pig!
