Farnam Street (FS) helps you master the best of what other people have already figured out. Together we will develop the mental models to understand how the world works, make better decisions, and live a more meaningful life.

In a world full of noise and expiring information FS is a place to step back and think about time-tested ideas. Not only will will help you remember how curious you were but we’ll help you think in a multidisciplinary way.

  • Shane,

This is an intriguing post. I had not heard of the Farnam Street blog before you mentioned it in class. Thank you for sharing. It has a great deal of information on Mental models-109 explained!!
I think this might be a great place to explore emerging ideas about leadership and creativity. (fs.blog/.../ ). I really like the article about 3M and flexible attention policy. Allowing employees time to think is very rewarding. We might be able to talk about this in conjunction with brain states, mindfulness and some other ideas. They all fit well together (from my vantage point).

I really appreciate you sharing this resource-thank you again. I will continue to explore it for very rich resource material and also to improve my leadership skills.

    Best,

    Kira
