Future Hunters Elective CGSOC Lesson 2 Advance Sheet 19 April 2021

 The outcome of this 180 minute lesson is that students will be able to describe and emulate a future hunter’s mindset. Students will be able to discuss the differences between a fixed mindset and a growth mindset and explain the importance of recognizing and mitigating bias.

 The author’s intent for this lesson is for students to learn that the ability to be a Future Hunter starts with an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of one’s cognitive processes and finding ways to strengthen in areas where growth is beneficial (Part 1). Students will explore the importance of a growth mindset to allow continuous learning from your environment (Part 2).  Students may assess their own biases and unproductive habits and learn to modify their state of mind to become more productive and more creative (Part 2).
