While in relatively small numbers this won't hurt China too much as this frees workers for other tasks, but as the economy slows it may pose a problem it may pose a problem as robotic manufacturing increases, thereby creating unemployment problems.
Western nations that bring manufacturing back to their home countries for robotic manufacturing may see benefits by creating some higher-end positions to maintain the robot manufacturing.
