WHO:
The U.S. Army is getting out of its comfort zone and wants to see the best technology out there from small businesses/start-ups. So, it is holding its first ever xTechSearch Technology Pitch Contest.
WHAT:
The U.S. Army is seeking innovative technology proposals aligned to its modernization priorities -- go to: https://www.challenge.gov/challenge/army-expeditionary-technology-search-xtechsearch/ and scroll down to the technology focus areas to see our priorities. No surprises here and I know many of you have directly applicable technology (e.g., ML/AI, autonomy, UAS, aerial systems, propulsion, visualization, AR/VR, communications, etc.).
Document your innovative technology proposal in a white paper, no more than 1000 words in length. Be sure to describe the novel technology concept, innovative application concept, and integration with the Army’s modernization priorities.
For more information on the contest, see the attached information paper.
WHEN:
Submissions must be received before July 11, 2018.
WHERE:
Submit your white paper, along with your completed xTechSearch registration (see blank form, at the last page of the attached information paper) via email to:
usarmy.pentagon.hqda-asa-alt.mbx.xtechsearch@mail.mil
HOW:
If you make it through the first round, you will be invited to pitch in person at one of the regional locations.
Want to talk or email with a human being about this? Contact Dr. Matt Willis or Mr. Joshua Israel at email: usarmy.pentagon.hqda-asa-alt.mbx.xtechsearch@mail.mil.
There are lots of details in the link or attachments, so, if you have questions, read the full announcement first. It's pretty comprehensive.
