Ms. Theresa Campobasso is a graduate student in Georgetown University's Security Studies Program with a strong interest in issues facing the future military. Prior to her studies, she served as a Marine Corps Intelligence officer in Japan, a counterintelligence analyst at CENTCOM Headquarters, and a CI/HUMINT analyst supporting Special Forces in Afghanistan. She was recently awarded an internship with NASA.

Ms. Campobasso will discuss the question of: How can the military prepare future soldiers to succeed as an increasing number of military strategists tell us that counterinsurgency operations are the "new way of war?" She suggests that future military operations will depend heavily on the performance of the individual soldiers, and explores the possible role that additive manufacturing, or 3D bioprinting, might have in the future military, and the potential impact it could have in human performance enhancement.

This talk is part of TRADOC's Mad Scientist initiative. Mad Scientist comprises a series of events to help the Army think about the evolution of the Operational Environment (OE), the effects of all aspects of technology on the future of Armed Conflict, continuously learn, adapt, and innovate, and allow for broader engagement in problem solving. The current series is focused on the Human Dimension 2025 and Beyond.

This presentation is UNCLASSIFIED and open to the public.
