I just watched some of the ceremony for the unveiling of the Renaissance Statue in Senegal. Wow!!! Bigger than the Statue of Liberty, and it's absolutely beautiful. If you have not seen it, check out this link.
The statue was expensive and therefore controversial, but I think that it will be a source of pride for many years to come (decade, even centuries). An amazing accomplishment, and I would like to see it in person some day.
