Main Navigation

APAN uses SharePoint 2010. 

Site Actions

The main navigation for a Site is Site Actions.  Within the site actions drop down, you can:

1. 1. Edit Page - Modify the web parts on a page.
   2. New document library - Create a place to store and share documents
   3. New site - Create a site for a team or project.
   4. More Options - Create other types of pages, lists, libraries and sites.
   5. View all site content - View all libraries and lists in the site.
   6. Site Permissions - Give people access to this site.
   7. Site Settings - Access all settings for this site.

Using Ribbons

Similar to Microsoft Office's ribbon navigation, SharePoint uses something similar.

Site Page Editing

1. Click Page, under the Page tab.
2. Click Edit.

Library Tools

1. Click Libraries.  Your document library list will appear. 
2. Click the library you wish to make changes to.  The Library Tools ribbon will appear.
3. Click Documents to manage documents.
4. Click Library to manage the library including creating various views.

List Tools

1. Click Lists.  Your lists will appear.
2. Select the list you wish to make changes to.  The List Tools ribbon will appear.
3. Click Items to manage the items within the list.
4. Click List to manage the library including creating various views.

Calendar Tools

1. Under Lists, within the left-hand navigation click Calendar.  The Calendar Tools ribbon will appear. 
2. Use the Events or Calendar ribbons to manage or schedule Calendar Views and/or scheduling.

Why are some SP2010 Tools or Features not accessible?

Due to how SP10 is configured within APAN, some features, tools are buttons may not be accessible.  If something is not accessible that you would like to use, create a support ticket and make the request.
