"Fighter vs BIRE – 40Knt cross wind maneuver" Artist’s statement: Developed highly maneuverable tailless fighter aircraft concept inspired by birds’ flights. The Bio-Inspired Rotating Empennage (BIRE) concept was developed to control tailless aircraft. This effort required a fundamental understanding of birds’ flight and the development of new aerodynamic data and control methodologies different from conventional aircraft control theory.
