Moiré magnets: Magnetic materials have been used to store and process information. Yet, natural grown magnetic materials usually have predetermined magnetic phases due to the crystal structure. Here, the work is to create the so-called moiré superlattice, a long wavelength interference pattern that arise by twisting two layers of atomic lattice at a finite angle. By having this artificial, tunable moiré superlattice, we can engineer and design the magnetic state in this atomically thin magnetic systems. Contributors: Liuyan Zhao, Xiangpeng Luo
