Two Keys to Brand Success: Preparation and Anticipation

When you are growing and expanding the awareness of your organization's brand its always important to have a strategy.  Its the first key to success with the responsibility of a good brand.  

These days brands we resonate are everywhere.  Coca Cola, Amazon, Google and Microsoft are a few.  While your organization might not be as strong or visible as one of those, its important to understand how to be viable to your trusted and loyal audiences. 

Don't sell your organization short by thinking you are not worthy of a brand strategy.  Additionally don't be to over zealous that you drive people away.  There is a professional and appropriate middle balance. 

Preparation

Vital to a brand is the success of how you create, manage and sustain your image, content and usefulness to your audiences.  But what it that? How do you craft who you are?  You already know what you do, but is it viable, useful and applicable to your audiences and what they resonate with? 

In preparation the most critical aspect of preparing yourself to be a good brand is to have a strong and clear strategy. Anticipation

Okay, let's not talk crystal ball here, but seriously anticipation is like the second most sought after skill since app development.  Actually you can get your organization very close to anticipating key responses in audience behaviors with a little study.  First you must be able to analyze your audience to the point of anticipation.  Developing methods by which your organization can easily understand their values, hopes, fears and desires, can provide elements that help your organization better anticipate what's next.  Why? 

 

Being useful, that's why.  If you are not useful you are sitting in the cheap seats watching everyone else pass you by, and pushing your organization into a dark corner.  By giving those you serve what they desire, what they need and something they can use, you gain loyalty points and this moves your organization up the useful scale significantly.
