Low Code-No Code AI Trends

Its no new years resolution that everyone will use more AI in the new year.  We don't really have a choice, as its already plugged into seemingly normal activities, like texting, advertisements that bomb you Facebook feed and the ever present apps we can't do without.  The one big resolution big tech companies are committing to in 2022 is low code and no code AI platforms.  We must recognize that these are like "accessories" to the larger enterprise applications that companies build and sustain their business processes on.

The AI candle is burning our butts ever so tall and bright and we must become Jack be nimble not to get burned by its thirst for doing things easier, smarter and faster.  From the data analytics side of things, the decade or two old term big data is not smoldering but fiercely launching an army of trends in its own right. Low code or no code applications provide gap fillers and small, bite-sized ways to enhance the way businesses can quickly develop needed solutions for a wide range of short term problems.

One company says that we should be moving toward "no-code" AI technologies. Low-code development platforms require minimal coding to create or extend an application. But they still require a knowledge of code. To really empower a workforce open to the prospect of smart technology partnerships, we should be moving towards no-code.

Further there has been a large fear of AI replacing humans, in a recent Pega Systems (a low-code software company) "future of work" survey, 72% of executives believe that AI will reduce a large part of middle management in the coming decade. However with only 2% of the world population knowing how to code it seems that the low-code, no-code band is okay with working next to and managing intelligent machines.

Are you for low-code/no-code or all human coding all the time?
