New CUI Training Requirement for CUI Communities

Hello APAN Users,

In an effort to stay in compliance with DOD requirements, effective Tuesday 3 September 2024, all community owners requesting CUI approval for their communities must complete and submit their Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Training certificate before a New CUI Request or a CUI Renewal will be processed.

CUI training is a yearly requirement for all DoD personnel with access to controlled unclassified information.

Certificate of training must NOT expire within 30 days of submitting a new CUI request or a CUI renewal
Training certificate from any DOD Organization will be accepted

BTW, not speaking for all DoD users of APAN, but our Foreign Disclosure Office must review and authorize CUI content before it is released to the authorized partners. What do other FDO offices say about that?
