APAN CUI SOP for Community Owners

This is the standard operating procedure for customers requesting approval to post Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) to an APAN community; also covers general guidelines for sharing of CUI data on APAN community that has already been granted approval. This document has been reviewed by APAN Technical Director and/or MPCO Project Lead and will be updated as needed

  • MAR 2023: Updated information on CUI published on non-CUI approved communities
  • JUN 2021: Changed verbiage in multiple paragraphs referencing "stored" information to using the term "shared", in order to clarify that guidelines are for any CUI being discussed via APAN applications or posted to APAN communities
  • MAR 2021: Added section 5.C.1.c; sub-sections i-iv include details about the various Adobe Connect permission levels to control access to meeting rooms
  • JAN  2021: Added links to official CUI policies/references, modified document organization and layout for consistency with other APAN SOPs; clarified roles, responsibilities, and procedures
  • FEB 2019: corrected minor typos, updated Help Desk contact info and application name
  • JAN 2019: original publication date after review by APAN Technical Director
