It is my pleasure to invite you to the U.S. Joint Services & OSD Africa Technical Exchange Meeting on 2-7 May 2016. This event will take place in the AFOSR Basic Research and Innovation Collaborative Center at 4075 Wilson Blvd, Suite 350, Arlington, VA 22203.
The Technical Exchange Meeting is an action item of the bilateral US-Republic of South Africa Joint Commission on Science & Technology. The purpose of this effort is to explore basic research collaborations in the areas of materials for extreme environments, computational mathematics, structural mechanics, low-density materials, blast impact materials, manganese dioxide research, lasers/quantum dynamics, and nanostructured materials. Participants include scientists/engineers from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Air Force Research Laboratory, Army Research Laboratory, Naval Research Laboratory, National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, US Agency for International Development, the National Academies of Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
