Objective:
This program seeks fundamental research with innovative approaches that can advance the forefront of the science of information to accomplish the following goals.

• Shift emphasis from sensing to information.
• Understand some aspects of the underpinning of autonomy.
• Design new information systems that can cope with different data types.
• Relieve human’s cognitive overload in dealing with the data deluge problem.
• Design new information systems that are more suitable for different data types.
