Objective
This program seeks fundamental research with innovative approaches that can advance the forefront of the science of information to accomplish the following goals.

Shift emphasis from sensing to information.
Understand some aspects of the underpinning of autonomy.
Design new information systems that can cope with different data types.
Relieve human’s cognitive overload in dealing with the data deluge problem.
Design new information systems that are more suitable for different data types.
