Do you know about Air University? Did you know that Air University has been around since the 1930’s and in recent years has touched most Air Force Officers, Enlisted members and Air Force Civilians through professional military education? Most of these members have no idea that graduating from Airman Leadership School or Air Command & Staff College or the Professional Financial Management Course means they graduated from one of largest universities in the country, Air University. While largely military education takes place here there are also dozens of other courses, and opportunities to learn at Air University.
Our individual schools and organizations that conduct courses are the power of the university but as a collective our team graduates almost 200K students per year. Did you know that Air Force Doctrine is developed at Air University? Did you know that as an Air Force member you can earn a Masters or even Doctorate degree at Air University?
Air University is more than Professional Military Education university. Did you know AU teaches Black Belt Certification, the Cyberspace Operations Executive Course and the Air Force Nuclear Fundamentals course? Air University recently moved the School of Advanced Nuclear Studies (SANDS) to Air University? SANDS teaches a multitude of nuclear courses. Air University takes great pride in teaching resilience, sexual assault prevention, emerging leadership, supervisor and force support courses as well conducting Title 10 wargames.
We don't stop there. Air University also provides a high level of scientific courses, and research opportunities through our Air Force Institute of Technology. Want free publications or help us conduct research? Air University has a fully operational publishing arm for the Air Force, producing two peer-reviewed professional journals through Air University Press. Air University also has one of the region's largest military television and multimedia production studios in the country.
