We upgraded ArcGIS to version 10.7 on April 9th, and your APAN team is still on track to upgrade Adobe Connect to version 10.6 at the end of next week. To minimize disruptions to ongoing operations, we moved the upgrade date to Saturday, 02 May 2020 and expect no more than a 4-hour disruption in service from 1800-2200 GMT.

  • More good news - we plan to do a full upgrade of ALL the existing rooms that are currently available. That means community owners and hosts will not have to re-create meeting rooms from scratch.
  • How to prepare for the upgrade:
    • To avoid your connect room from becoming corrupt, you will need to end all meetings BEFORE the upgrade starts! This will minimize the possibility of a room becoming unusable in the database.  Corrupt rooms cannot be salvaged, meaning you'll need to recreate your room from scratch after the upgrade.
    • Update the Adobe Connect Add-In (the meeting application is only required for hosts & presenters) on your computer/device; download direct from Adobe's website for your operating system. Note this feature is also backwards compatible with older versions of Connect.
    • Check our APAN Knowledge Base, Training Resources and other tips for using Adobe Connect.
  • After the upgrade, meeting hosts will have the option to enable HTML view for participants accessing meeting rooms... again, this avoids the use of Flash for viewing/participating only. Hosts and Presenters will still need to install the meeting app.

We will post a warning banner on our main page for sites & community next Friday to remind users about the upgrade. Please contact us if you have additional questions or comments at any time.

Respectfully,
Your APAN Application Service Provider Team
