Blog Feedback Settings

The blog Post options page gives you control over several aspects of reader feedback. The platform allows reader comments, ratings, and trackbacks on blog posts. You can choose to:

• Never disallow comments and ratings
• Enable or disable comments and ratings
• Collect trackbacks
• Enable or disable comments and ratings after a post ages (for a period such as 1 to 90 days)

Note that when you change settings on the Feedback page, the new properties only apply to new blog posts.

To set the feedback properties:

1. Navigate to the blog.
2. Mouse over Management.
3. Click Manage blog. The Manage blogpanel appears.

4. Click Post options. The Post optionspanel appears.

5. Select from the following options:
   1. Can readers comment - Allows readers to comment on posts that are created after this check box is checked. (Default is to be checked.)
   2. Can readers rate posts - Allows readers to rate posts using a star value system. (Default is checked.)
   3. Collect trackbacks - Creates trackbacks when users link to the blog posts. (Default is checked.)
   4. Disable comments - You can choose to stop new comments from being added after x days or never to disable post comments using this drop-down list. (Default is never.)
6. Click Save to apply the settings.
