How do I make a Request for No Interruption (RNI) or a POND Request?

[toc]

The APAN team requests that all users planning to host any event, training session, conference, exercise etc. submit a Request for No Interruption (RNI) to APAN Support via the ServiceNow ticket system.  Details at https://www.apan.org/pages/support.  If the user does not already have ServiceNow account, they will be required to create one.  Instructions for creating a ServiceNow account are located at https://community.apan.org/support/m/info/436163.

The RNI allows us to monitor system performance during your event as needed, be on standby to assist should you experience technical difficulties, and it also prevents scheduling system maintenance or upgrades during your event.

If a systems maintenance period has already been scheduled on the day of your request, a Customer Service Representative will respond to your ticket with instructions to reschedule.

When you submit an RNI ticket, you will be required to provide the following information:

  1. Event Title:
  2. Event Type (Exercise, Conference, HADR, other):
  3. Description of Event:
  4. APAN Community URL:
  5. Event Point of Contact (POC) Name:
  6. POC Office:
  7. POC Command:
  8. POC Email:
  9. POC Phone:
  10. Location(s) of Event:
  11. Start day and time of event, include time zone:
  12. End day and time of event, include time zone:
  13. Estimated number of concurrent participants (max):
  14. If using video, how many cameras/feeds in use at the same time?

For questions, contact APAN Support https://www.apan.org/pages/support.
