Explore Basic Research Challenges and Opportunities in Collaboration with AFOSR and AFRL/RD

Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Basic Research Directorate and Directed Energy Directorate invites you to participate in the meeting scheduled 11-13 March 2025 in Albuquerque, NM.

Event Description: 

This workshop is to explore basic research challenges and opportunities in collaboration with Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) and AFRL/ Directed Energy Directorate RD. Workshop will be held at SECRET level.   

Registration Information: 

  • Advance registration is required for all attendees.

  • Virtual Attendance is not permitted.


BASE ACCESS AND SECURITY INFORMATION: 

Workshop is a classified meeting SECRET Level.

  • To enter Kirkland AFB, you will be required to show your CAC upon arrival.
  • AFRL Badge will be used to verify your clearance access to meeting space.
  • If you do not have an AFRL Badge – Submit your clearance information to SMO CODE:  INSERT.

How to get to Bldg. 201. - The Phillips Conference Center

  • Take Carlisle gate from Gibson Blvd, stay in the right lane.
  • At the light, take a right onto Aberdeen Dr.
  • At the stop sign, take right onto Kirtland Dr.
  • Pass the RV storage lot on the left.
  • Bldg. 201 is at the end of the road to the left, with a large parking lot to the south.  

Agenda at a Glance: 

  • Day 1: 11 March 2025- 0800 Mountain Time - 1700 Mountain Time: workshop, including lunch break and lab tours.
  • Day 2: 12 March 2205- 0800 Mountain Time - 1700 Mountain Time: workshop, including lunch break.
  •  Day 3: 13 March 2025- 0800 Mountain Time - 1700 Mountain Time; workshop, including lunch break and optical range tour.

Attire:  Civilian - Business Casual; Military: OCPs

Food and Beverages: 

  • Food and Beverages will be sent via email after registration.
  • Venmo payments, or cash upon arrival.

       

Landing fee is optional but HIGHLY encouraged due to limited time. 

  • Advance payment submission: The landing fee will have a due date of NLT 1300MST on Friday, 7 March 2025.Payment is due prior to arrival via our Venmo account @RD-Protocol or cash payments are accepted and due on Day 1 (please ensure bills are no larger than $20).

  • Cancelation/refund policy:  This office requires 72-hour cancellation notice. You must notify Susan and Gretchen if you are canceling, and a refund will be given upon meeting completion. No refunds will be given after this point due to all food is ordered and paid for 48-hrs prior to start date.
