You can set the permissions for roles on the media gallery Manage gallery > Permissions tab.

To set media gallery permissions for a role:

1. Navigate to the media gallery.
2. Mouse over Management.
3. Click Manage gallery > Permissions. The Permissions tab is displayed.

4. Click a role to modify, such as Registered Users.  The role permissions list check boxes appear.

5. You can search for a permission in the search box, or check the appropriate check box(es) on the list:
   1. Attach Local Files - Role can upload and attach files to a post.
   2. Attach Remote Files - Role can link to media hosted on a separate server.
   3. Bypass Moderation - Role can bypass moderation.
   4. Bypass Validation - Role can bypass file type (extension) restrictions when uploading files (depends on Attach Local Files permission).
   5. Create Comments - Role can create comments on gallery posts.
   6. Create Posts - Role can create new gallery posts.
   7. Delete Comments - Role can delete gallery post comments.
   8. Delete Posts - Role can delete gallery posts.
   9. Download Files - Role can download gallery files.
   10. Edit Posts - Role can edit gallery posts.
   11. Edit Settings - Role can edit settings for a gallery.
   12. Rate Posts - Role can rate gallery posts.
   13. Read Content - Role can read gallery posts.
   14. Review abuse - Role can moderate and review abuse in a gallery.
6.  Click Save to apply the settings.
