It is our pleasure to invite you to the AFOSR/NCI/DARPA Strategic Workshop: Convergence of Physical Sciences for Biomedical Applications Meeting on 28 August 2014. This event will take place in the AFOSR Basic Research and Innovation Collaborative Center at 4075 Wilson Blvd, Suite 350, Arlington, VA 22203.
This multiagency workshop will bring together thought leaders in the convergence of physical sciences, engineering, applied mathematics, and biomedical fields. Our goal is to join these often disparate areas of science to better understand the physical and chemical forces that shape and govern the emergence and behavior of living and non-living systems at all levels.
We are at an opportune juncture to discuss on-going efforts and, based on this workshop, focus our future activities towards those topics that will provide the most transformative impact.
