SP13 Anonymous Access

[toc]

Anonymous access means that people without an APAN account will be able to see your APAN SharePoint.

  • Adding Anonymous Access to your site without APAN approval will result in owners being required to attend SharePoint permissions training.
  • The security of your members and content can be compromised. This is due to anyone being able to access this data.

NOTE: Using Anonymous Access is NOT recommended by APAN. This is not an APAN Best Practice and is not good for the security of your SharePoint site, as anyone from any country can not only read/view the content, but also contribute and download what information that may be of interest to them. Do not use Anonymous Access unless you have consulted with the APAN Help Desk/Team.

If your team is looking to use Anonymous Access, please consult APAN and a PUBLIC Site will be created for you.
