Hashtags/Tags, Likes, Mentions, and Ratings

Hashtags in Verint 12 allow users to link conversations and increase visibility. Here’s how they work:

Indexed for Search: Hashtags are searchable and help group related content.
Real-Time Suggestions: When typing a hashtag (e.g., "#sum"), Verint suggests similar tags. You can select from the list or create a new one.
Usage: You can add hashtags to forum posts, blog entries, comments, and more.
Hashtags are used within the body of content, such as within the body of a blog post.
Tags are also keywords used to support search, but they are added to the Tags section below each content page. They can also be highlighted in the Tag Cloud widget.

Likes allow users to show support for content and boost its visibility. Here's how they work:

Promotes Quality: Liking increases a post's rank in the community.
Limit: Users can only like content once but can remove their likes anytime.
Visibility: The number of likes is shown, and users can view a list of those who liked the content. Notifications are sent when someone likes your post.

Mentions help bring attention to users, groups, or applications in discussions by linking their names.

How to Mention: Use the "@" symbol followed by a username, group name, or application. A drop-down list will appear, allowing you to select the desired mention.
Notifications: When you mention someone, they receive an alert, and their name turns into a clickable link.

Ratings in Verint 12 use a five-star system to evaluate content quality.

Objective Measure: Unlike likes, ratings provide a quality score.
Adjustable: Users can change their rating after submission.
Notifications: Authors are alerted when their content is rated, and ratings are visible in their Notification Queue.
