SUICIDE & TRAUMA: UNDERSTANDING THE IMPACT ON EMOTIONAL HEALTH

This presentation will explore the dynamics of suicide and trauma, and the devastating effects that they have on our communities. Understanding the importance of combating each of these issues will be discussed. How to effectively talk about suicide will be explored, and the need to monitor one’s own self-care will be explained. In addition, coping mechanisms and tools to improve one’s emotional health will be identified. Participants will also increase their understanding of the resources offered by Crisis Services of North Alabama in order to obtain assistance locally.
