Content editing is used throughout the community. You can choose which kind of editor you want - Plain text or Enhanced - in your Settings > Options tab.
The information below applies to the enhanced editor. This editor includes a toolbar of options and a content area.

Format drop-down list
Set style of current line of text.
Font Family drop-down list
Select the text font style.
Font Size drop-down list
Selects the text font size.
Select a text color.
Aligns the text left, center, right, or justified.
Toggles the editor between a full-screen view and normal view.
Edit the contents via HTML.
Saves unsaved content in the browser every 30 seconds. If you navigate away from the page or lose your Internet connection, you can click the life preserver icon to restore the content last entered into the editor (within the last 20 minutes).
Makes the text bold-faced, italicized, underlined, or stuck through.
Applies background highlighting to the selected text in the color you choose.
Applies bullets or numbered list formatting to the text.
Indents or out-dents the current line of text
Inserts image.
Inserts/edits media. Also inserts links to other media such as doc files.
Inserts embeddable content.
Pastes text from a Microsoft Word document (does not support images at this time).
Creates or modifies a link on the selected text.
Inserts a table.
Inserts an anchor.
Inserts a horizontal rule line.
Inserts an emoticon (if emoticons are enabled in Site configuration > Advanced Configuration > Post Settings.)
Undoes an action.
Redoes an action.
Inserts code using the Syntax-Highlighter (if installed).
To give yourself more editing room, you can toggle the content window into full-screen mode. This mode supports all editing functions but spell check. You can toggle back and forth easily from one mode to the other without saving the content.
To toggle between regular and full screen mode:
Almost any kind of file can be dragged and dropped onto a blog, forum, media, or wiki post. This action works similarly to the Insert Image button or Insert Media button on the enhanced text editor toolbar.
