What is a custom page?

A page can be referred to as your Verint group's home page or the page where an application, such as a blog, media gallery, forum, or wiki may be.  The tabs or links across a website usually allows a user to navigate to a new "page."

In Verint groups you can customize the pages within your community.  You can add custom pages to host widgets.

Only Group Owners can customize, add, edit or delete pages.  Blog pages are the only exception.  Group Owners can assign a user to be able to manage Blog pages.

Create a Custom Page

  1. Click Manage (pencil icon in the upper left corner) > Manage Group Theme > Manage Pages
  2. Select Add Custom Page.
  3. Enter a Name and URL
  4. Click Save.
In Edit Page mode you can change a page's layout, widgets, and navigation.

Enter Edit Page Mode

This procedure outlines editing a custom page or home page.

  1. Click Manage (pencil icon in the upper left corner) > Manage Group Theme > Manage Pages
  2. Select the name of the page you wish to edit
  3. Click Edit Layout
  4. The page is now in Edit mode.

Open the header, body, or footer

  • To open the page header, open page editing. Then mouse over the header area and then click Edit header. Note: The User - Banner widget, which handles navigation, is located in the header.
  • To open the body, open page editing. Then mouse over the page body and click Edit page.
  • To open the page footer, open page editing. Then mouse over the footer and then click Edit footer. Note: The page Tour Tips widget is located in the footer.

Edit the Page Layout

You can edit the page layout (not header or footer layout).

  1. In the Edit Page panel, click the Layout tab. The layout styles appear.
  2. Click the desired layout. The page layout changes dynamically.
  3. Click and drag widgets onto the page as desired. See more about widgets.
  4. If desired, you can Save draft (save a draft of the page) and click Preview drafts. This will open the page view in a browser tab or window, and will change dynamically as you make layout and widget changes.
  5. Click Save and publish to publish your changes.

Revert a header, footer, or page

In the case that you saved a page/header/footer version and want to undo those changes, you can click Revert. This button will only occur on modified areas.

  1. Click Revert. The portion grid of the page appears.
  2. Click the portion of the page to be reverted. Any changed or customized page will be indicated in the grid. You will be prompted with the following choices:
    1. Undo all unsaved changes - Any changes that have not been saved (from this edit session) will be removed.
    2. Revert to default - Changes made for the user/group/blog since the last save as default will be removed and the default page will be used.
    3. Revert every user/group/blog to the factory default - Any changes to the default as well as any changes in this editing session to the user/group/blog will be undone, and the factory default for the theme will be applied.

  3. Click your choice. The chosen reversion will be applied.
